Dr. Guillaume Saint-Pierre

Guillaume is the Chief Executive Officer and Cofounder of PeptiGelDesign Limited. He was awarded a Ph.D. in ceramic synthetic receptors for sensing applications at Cranfield University. He then joined a Cambridge based startup where he developed a series of micro electro-analytical devices for critical healthcare applications. Guillaume moved to Spain and joined University Hospital of Toledo, Inspiralia SL., where he worked on spinal cord injury repair and cardiovascular replacement therapies. During this time, Guillaume developed and led the material department of Inspiralia where he created and commercialised IPs for SMEs and LEs.

 

Mr Graham D Partridge, Chairman

Mr Graham Partridge

Graham is a social entrepreneur who actively commercialises and invests in social and environment impact businesses. Graham acts as Chairman for a number of businesses in the environmental (renewable energy crowd funding, solar, tidal) and biotechnology (regenerative medicine) sectors including PeptiGelDesign Limited, and is a Member of the Admissions Panel for the Social Stock Exchange. Graham has over 15 years’ main board experience as CEO and CFO of four UK listed public companies principally in the Information Technology, electronics and technology sectors, successfully delivering strategies for growth, commercial development and investment. Graham is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants, is a Certified Member in Practice and holds an Honours degree in Economics from Newcastle University.

 

Prof Aline F Miller, Director

Prof Aline Miller

Aline is a Cofounder of PeptiGelDesign Limited and brings significant technical experience in controlling manipulating self-assembly across the length scales for the design of functional and responsive hydrogels for application within the life-science sector. Aline is Professor of Biomolecular Engineering within the School of Chemical Engineering & Analytical Science and the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, University of Manchester having previously been Reader, Senior Lecturer  and Lecturer. Prior to this she held a New Hall College Junior Research Fellowship at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge University. During her time in Manchester she has gained several awards including the Royal Society of Chemistry MacroGroup UK Young Researchers Medal, the Institute of Physics Polymer Physics Lecture Award and the 2014 Philip Leverhulme Prize for Engineering.

 

Prof Alberto Saiani, Director

Prof Alberto Saiani

Alberto is a Cofounder of PeptiGelDesign Limited and Professor of Molecular Materials at the University of Manchester where he co-leads the Polymers&Peptides Research Group. He graduated and did his Ph.D. in polymer physics at the University Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg in France. Following his Ph.D. he held a number of post-doctoral positions in Belgium, Japan and the UK. In 2000 he was appointed Lecturer at the University Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand, France before joining the University of Manchester in 2002. He is also Cofounder and Vice-President of the Society of Biohydrogels.

 

Dr Savvas Neophytou, Director

Dr Savvas Neophytou

Savvas Neophytou is a partner of Deepbridge Capital LLP. Previously he had been a founding shareholder of a number of technology companies including Torafugu Tech and Cemeretec. Torafugu is engaged in the emerging field of data driven enablers to improve health outcomes and Cemeretec is engaged in the development of point of care diagnostics for the acute care hospital setting. He has also been CEO of Dr Now, an online doctor platform. Prior to that Savvas had a long career in the City, working for 15 years as an investment banker and ECM at JP Morgan, Bear Steams, Shore Captial, Cantor Fitzgerald and Panmure Gordon. Savvas holds a Ph.D. in psychopharmacology from Nottingham University and a BSc Honours degree in Pharmacology from University of Manchester.
