SYNTHETIC SCAFFOLDS FOR DEFINED CELLULAR MICROENVIRONMENTS

PeptiGelDesign peptide based hydrogels are synthetic matrices that are used to create defined two dimensional (2D) and three-­dimensional (3D) microenvironments for cell culture applications.  Above a critical peptide concentration, the peptide component of PeptiGelDesign products self-­assembles into a 3D hydrogel that exhibits a nanometer scale fibrous structure.

Base formulations are typically composed of 1-­5 % (w/v) of peptide and 99-­95 % of water. PGD-­Alpha1, PGD-­Alpha2, PGD-­AlphaProA, PGD-­AlphaProB and PGD-­AlphaProC are delivered as ready-to-­use products for culture dish, multi-­well plate, or cell culture insert applications.

To achieve optimal cell growth and differentiation PeptiGelDesign products can accommodate the addition of bioactive molecules such as growth factors, extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins or other molecules.
